Sunday, September 24, 2006   Man

I'm not an expert of English, nor do I purpose to be. But the contemporary politically correct custom of referring to a general group as "businessmen and women", or "policemen and women", is unnecessary. Woman is a type of man and there-fore doesn't need to be explicit annexed in conversation. This is evident in other language uses such as "human", opposed to "human and huwoman"; or "mankind" opposed to "man and womankind". Woman was created out of man and therefore both share the name "man".

Friday, September 22, 2006   Low Income Rentership

Three reasons to become a renter in the low income housing market:
1) Secureity- Since local market elasticity effect of national market conditions is dependant on the mobility of renters, local low-income markets are less effected by national trends in housing.
2) Opportunity- Due to the undesirability of renting to low-income renters, there is a superficialy lower supply of low-income housing.
3) Satisfaction- Low-income rentership ties into the Biblical value of being a caretaker to the least of these. If there was a greater supply of low-income housing in Bethlehem, Jesus and co. would have had access to beds.
